Jan’s Blvd Bicycle lanes introduction and pavement markings re-alignment

As a strong cyclist who uses the facilities available in our town I am very much concerned about the new bike lanes and pavement markings on Jans Blvd.

When viewing the lines and with what appears to be parking on both sides of the road, it looks like the center line is being moved. With it being moved my concern is that the space being provided puts the cyclist on harms way.

Any large vehicle or transport truck entering the subdivision does not allow for the space that is required according to the law. Hopefully the contractor doing the job knows what the law is for cyclist.

All cyclist should not have to ride these streets in fear.

Even in a car, these lines are confusing. A friend saw someone trying to drive in what looks like the parking lane, and there doesn't seem to be enough space to drive between the bike lane and the yellow line. The symbols on Anna Maria between St Francis school and St John's Rd leave the impression that the road is only for bikes! We are wondering under what circumstances would you get a ticket for driving on the wrong part of the road? Please tell us that this is just a test strip for new paint truck drivers and the mistakes will be removed.
