We're transforming Innisfil Beach Park into a more accessible, welcoming, and modern waterfront destination for everyone to enjoy.
In May 2023, Council approved the Final Concept Plan, which includes nearly 50 projects to be completed over three phases. Improvements will modernize aging amenities, ease traffic congestion, and introduce exciting new features in underused areas of the park.
After years of planning, design, and community input, Phase 1 construction is officially underway! The park will remain open throughout construction, with temporary closures in some areas for safety.
Phase 1 Construction (May 2025 – October 2026)
These features are currently under construction:
New Park Exit: A new exit road at 25th Sideroad with a 2-metre off-road trail for walking and cycling.
Washroom Pavilion: Replacing the old trailer washroom near the existing playground with a modern facility that exceeds AODA accessibility standards and includes outdoor showers.
Playground and Courts: New natural toddler playground and two new volleyball courts.
Pickleball and Tennis Courts: 4 tennis courts and 6 pickleball courts (moved up from Phase 2 as per DSR-067-25).
Turning Circle: New pick-up/drop-off area beside the new washroom pavilion.
Infrastructure Upgrades: Water and sanitary servicing for future amenities.
Drainage Enhancements: Low Impact Development (LID) drainage swales, culvert replacement, and improved stormwater outlets.
Beach Enhancements: Expansion of beaches and accessible pathways.
Seating and Trail Improvements: New park benches, bike racks, pedestrian bridges, etc.
The new Off-Leash Dog Area is now open at the east point of the park!
