Seats at the Table: Creating Space in Local Democracy

Join us for an inspiring conversation leading up to Local Government Week! Dr. Kofi Hope will sit down with Mayor Lynn Dollin to explore how we can make local democracy more inclusive and accessible for everyone. After the conversation, the floor will open to audience questions on getting involved in local politics.
Municipal Matters 101 Drop-In

Curious about how Town Hall works or how to run for Council? Stop by anytime during the day to chat with our Clerk Services team about the services, processes, and people that keep Innisfil running.
Coffee Chats with Council + Special Guests
- Wednesday, October 22, 5:30-6:45 p.m.
- Innisfil Town Hall (Main Lobby)
Enjoy coffee and casual conversation with your Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Ward Councillor. This event will also include some Town services and community partners! Bring your questions and feedback.
Council Meeting
- Wednesday, October 22, starts at 7 p.m.
- Innisfil Town Hall (Council Chambers)
Sit in on a Council Meeting to see how decisions are made! The meeting agenda will be posted a week before the meeting so you can see what's on the table for discussion. If you can't make it, meetings are livestreamed on the Town's Youtube channel.
Local Government Session

- Registration encouraged
During these introductory sessions, you’ll learn about the services offered by each level of government, find out how property tax dollars are used, and quiz our knowledgeable presenters with your top questions. Community service hours will be granted to students in Grades 9-12 who attend the session. There will also be pizza and refreshments!
Teen Nights: Local Government Edition
Teen Nights activities during Local Government Week will include special activities and trivia!
