Innisfil is growing! By 2034, we estimate that our population will reach over 63,000 residents. In order to meet our current and future needs, the Town of Innisfil is preparing a 10-year Transit Master Plan. This plan will revisit our current public transit system, Innisfil Transit, and go beyond. It’s time to Talk Transit, Innisfil!

How to get involved

Answer our transit survey

We have prepared four potential options for Innisfil Transit services in the future and want to hear from you!

These options were informed by feedback received through Round 1 of community engagement and by our Technical Working Group and other interest holders. Your feedback is vital to the development of the Transit Master Plan. The survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Please complete the survey by May 25, 2025, for a chance to win a $100 gift card to the Innisfil store of your choice (terms and conditions apply).

Thank you for your questions and suggestions,

I have noted your comments on aspects around fare structure, regional integration, and pooling on rideshare services and will share them with the rest of the team working on the Transit Master Plan.

To provide a bit of overall context on the development of the Transit Master Plan, we are currently looking for feedback on a number of options presented on the future of transit services in Innisfil. Once a preferred option is chosen, it will be refined based on the feedback obtained from the open houses, survey and other means of engagement. The Transit Master Plan that will be presented to Council in the fall will include more details on how transit services would work, including a Business Plan component, as well as guidance on how transit services should work, which could very well include guidance on how local transit services in Innisfil can be integrated with services provided by external agencies such as GO Transit.

    Can we vote agents this?

    Thank you for your question,

Public consultation helps develop what will be in the Transit Master Plan. Ultimately, the proposed Transit Master Plan, as informed by such public consultation, will be presented to Town Council by the fall of 2025, which could decide to approve the plan, request that revisions be made to it, or decline to adopt it as a Town policy.

We welcome you to share your perspectives on transit in Innisfil, be it based on your experiences using - or not using - Innisfil Transit (i.e. the Uber partnership), other transit services or forms of transportation and what you envision for the future of transit in Innisfil. The Get Involved Innisfil webpage for this project goes over community engagement opportunities - as seen on this webpage, you can also subscribe to get updates on this project.

    Best Regards,

  • Share What is in the plan for innisfil and multi family homes and what is the policy. We were wondering about building a modular like home in the yard for an inlaw. I know how much shortage on rentals and I wondered if thus is legal? We are also on what i think is estate lots. Is there a difference for policy. We have 2 driveways. One off big bay point road and the main one off mccormick gate. Would we be able to get permits for mobile home. Thanks Vicki cole on Facebook Share What is in the plan for innisfil and multi family homes and what is the policy. We were wondering about building a modular like home in the yard for an inlaw.
