Snow Angels is back! Our Snow Angels recognition program is back in full swing to promote winter safety and neighbours helping neighbours. We want to celebrate those neighbours you know and love - the ones who spend the extra time and go out of their way to help others after a snowfall. We also want to preserve the small-town charm in Innisfil. With a community as dispersed as ours, the on the ground local connection we have to one another is critical to not only our well-being, but our safety as well.

Want to help?
Do you have neighbours who may need assistance with shoveling their sidewalk or driveway? Or maybe you're just feeling extra helpful? Why not be a “Snow Angel” and shovel for them? This is a great way to get exercise, help out others, and be a downright awesome neighbour.

1. Your Story - Let us know how your neighbour rocks and why they deserve to be an official snow angel.
2. Package Delivery - Once you've shared your story, complete the form below to let us know where to send your recognition package. Once submitted, we will mail out your envelope to give to your snow angel!

    Snow Angel

    by Richardson3, 5 months ago

    Hi there,

I would like to submit this on behalf of my husband. He is always shoveling the neighbors driveways. We share a driveway with our neighbour and she is a single lady with a bad back. So anytime that it snows he is out there doing both sides of the driveway so that she doens't have too!

    Boot prints in the snow

    by judi, 5 months ago

After that snow storm that we had several weeks ago, I went to my driveway to face a good foot of snow that would need shovelling before I could safely make it to the street. Not only the foot of snow but a huge snow bank that was made when the snowplow went by was also in my future. I must confess I don't usually shovel, it's hard work and I'm 71 years old with health concerns. What I usually do is rev the engine, pray for the best and blast through the snow with my car. This may give... Continue reading

    Snowycove Acres

    by Beverley, 5 months ago

I live in a community with many senior residents. A lot of the women live alone. Luckily, on my street are not one, but two, snow angels! And surrounding these married angels are 5 lone women. These kind Gentlemen are often there before the street trucks, to shovel our parking areas AND our walkways! ALL 5 of us in addition to their own! Not only is this chore an immense relief for us, but it gives us a sense of belonging and being cared about; which when you live alone is truly a great gift! It would give us pleasure... Always willing to help!

    by CourtneyH, 5 months ago

My husband Chris is always out and about the neighbourhood plowing our neighbours drive ways on his quad.

Even on the coldest days, he is out there clearing the way.

He is such a huge help to the community, and does it without a complaint!

    The Allen Family

    by Ally, 5 months ago

I am a senior and my neighbours Glenn and Melissa do my shoveling, rake leaves and make sure I am okay.

They have two lovely children who make my day every time they visit, bring special gifts they made just for me.

Couldn’t be more grateful and they definitely deserve a snow angel as they are the angels in my life.

    Amazing Neighbours

    by mellieb, 6 months ago

My husband and i just moved to Innisifil and we had heard stories but were not expecting this much snow! Our neighbors have been so welcoming and have been plowing our driveway for us. It is such a great help especially when my husband works late.

    Sandy cove Angel

by Jennpatt , 6 months ago

Last February I fell and broke my femur I’m still recovering.

My neighbour David French has been helping me in so many ways. He always makes sure that my walkway is cleared and even cleans off my car. I can’t afford to financially repay his kindness and unselfish support. He helps me maintain my home, helps me with my groceries. I truly would be lost without his support.

    One in a million!

by Steven Robertson, 6 months ago

My neighbour Brent is awesome! He always makes sure that my driveway is shovelled when I get home from work, and it’s a blessing I tell ya. Nothing worse the working a long day and having to come home and shovel. I’m extremely lucky to have him as a neighbour, and he truely is a snow ❄️ angel 😇. Thanks for all you’re hard work man!

    Always Helping Out

    by Mdali, 6 months ago

Our neighbour that has helped us clear snow from our driveway while I was pregnant and my husband had to leave to work very early in the morning. He also shovels the snow for another neighbour who cannot do it for herself. We are so thankful to know such a kind soul.
