Race tract of St. Johns

I find it ridiculous that when paving St Johns, no side walks where installed. The town is aware of the speeding problem on St. John since they installed the speed signs.

Why was a major road leading to our town resources, job and shops not equipped with pedestrian safety in mind?

At the very least, adding one or two stop signs will decrease the speeding along St Johns.

Also please, please, please install a stop sign at St John and 7th line. What will it take before it becomes a 4 way stop? Death. I have see so many near misses with people or cars.

I hope my input is actually considered.

Monique, i have lived on St John's Rd since 1987, it wasn't as busy then but that is when I started asking for a sidewalks. I can't count how many Mayors or councilors I've spoken too , or how many times i was interviewed by local newspapers, still nothing but too expensive. well my oldest child was 4 years old when we moved there , now his children are older then that. My youngest is 20 still lives with me but doesn't ride his bike or walk on that road, thank God. But i have seen so many accidents on this road i can't remember the numbers. The only thing I see is as long as developers buy up our forests and farm land the town gets their fees, and OPG still gives them millions of dollars our town Council gets their photo ops instead of spending it on safety for their citizens .
