Bring in Buses already!!

As a mom of 3 teens and one who is high functioning special needs we NEED at least ONE public transit bus in town to link us with the Barrie transit system. Minimum to get to the train station on Yonge st. Not all people drive, and not everyone can afford the ridiculous cab fares into Barrie. And I’m sorry but I do not feel safe sending my kids anywhere in an Uber. Don’t we teach kids to not get rides from strangers? Learning how to use public transit is a life skill everyone should know. My daughter can’t even apply for the special needs course at Georgian College because she has no way of getting there. I can’t afford a daily Uber or taxi. And I’m sorry saying Innisfil has public transportation is a false statement... it does not. Taxis and Uber are not public transit. Buses and trains are. Innisfil is growing so much it’s time for the buses to be brought in.
