Killarney Beach Road Updates

The Town of Innisfil is working with Morrison Hershfield (MH) to improve Killarney Beach Road in Lefroy. Road and infrastructure improvement projects like this are essential for keeping our community safe and connected. We are currently preparing the design for improvements on the following roadway sections:

Killarney Beach Road from 20th Sideroad to Ewart Street
Killarney Beach Road from Ewart Street to Barry Avenue
Church Drive from Killarney Beach Road north to the north terminus
Pine Avenue from Killarney Beach Road south approximately 400 metres

We are currently working with MH on the design for this project, with construction expected in spring 2024.

How can I get involved?

We hosted a Public Open House on November 16, 2022 at the Lefroy Arena to discuss the project with the public and invite feedback. If you couldn't make it, you can review the presentation materials and responses to comments online.

Hello and thank you for your question. Utility relocation advance of the urbanization is hopeful to take place spring 2023 with the urbanization project expected follow in the summer at earliest.
Share Hello, I have some questions I’m hoping you can answer about the project. Will the poorly constructed and maintained sidewalk on the stretch of KBR east of the railroad tracks down towards Ferrier Ave be replaced with a traditional regular Concrete sidewalk as part if this project? Also, I’m curious if the westbound side of the road will be repaved the same way the eastbound side has been before the project is over? Hello and thank you for your question. Asphalt, 2m wide multi use paths are proposed on both sides of KBR at that location. The road is set for full road reconstruction with concrete curb and gutter and STM sewer at some locations.
