How old do I have to be to vote?

    18 years of age.

    What kind of ID do I need to vote?

    • 1 original piece of photo ID issued by the government (must contain name and address) OR
    • 2 original pieces of ID with your name and address OR
    • If you don't have ID you can declare your name and address in writing and have someone who knows you and who is assigned to your polling station to confirm your identity.
      Note: The voucher must be able to prove their identity and address. 

    Can I vote online in the federal election?

    No. You can vote in person at any of your polling stations, at your local Election's Canada office, or by mail.
