The 2022 Stormwater Management Master Plan Update will assess the relevant findings of the previous Master Plan, incorporate future growth and demands on the network, identify areas where information gaps exist, and update the plan accordingly. The goals and policies identified in this update will include strategies to improve and minimize the negative impacts of flooding and stormwater movement, improve safety, preserve local character, and protect the natural environment.

Innisfil Flooding Strategy

Like many Canadian municipalities, flooding within the Town has become a significant concern for the municipality and residents. Creating a Flooding Strategy will help us look more holistically at this concern and proactively identify areas of concern and potential strategies. We want to explore innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable solutions and create a prioritized action plan for the Town’s short, medium, and long-term capital budget planning.

Draft Report

The draft report was presented to Council on January 10, 2024, and underwent a 30-day review period. The final report is currently being prepared, taking into account feedback received during the review period.
