Consultation has concluded

In 2024, we updated our Stormwater Management Master Plan to account for town growth over the next 20 years and added a Flooding Strategy to identify areas of concern and potential strategies. Throughout this process, we assessed the relevant findings of the previous Master Plan, incorporated future growth and demands on the network, and identified areas where information gaps exist. The goals and policies identified in this update includes strategies to improve and minimize the negative impacts of flooding and stormwater movement, improve safety, preserve local character, and protect the natural environment.

Innisfil Flooding Strategy

Like many Canadian municipalities, flooding within the Town has become a significant concern for the municipality and residents. Creating a Flooding Strategy will help us look more holistically at this concern and proactively identify areas of concern and potential strategies. We want to explore innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally sustainable solutions and create a prioritized action plan for the Town’s short, medium, and long-term capital budget planning.
