What are Helical Piles?

Helical piles, also referred to as screw piles is an anchoring system used for building foundations. Helical piles are usually made out of galvanized steel to avoid corrosion. Helical Piles are used in a wide range of construction projects as they are easy to install, require little to no excavation, and have a minimal impact to the environment. Helical piles are installed with a large auguring machine and set to a certain torque based on the type of soil in the area.

Helical Piles in this Project

The ramp will be using 26 helical piles for its foundation. The helical piles being installed are made out of Galvanized Steel to avoid corrosion and provide long-term structural support.
