October 13 Update
The Town of Innisfil is providing biweekly updates to enhance communications on the Killarney Beach Road construction project. These updates will outline ongoing and upcoming activities throughout the 2026 construction season. Our goal is to help businesses plan ahead, recognizing that construction-related disruptions to operations are expected in 2026.
Project update provided on: October 13, 2026
Project status
The Phase 3 road closure on Killarney Beach Road between Corner Drive and Ewart Street was installed on August 21st, 2026.
In addition, intermittent daytime single-lane closures are in effect between 20th Sideroad and Corner Drive to facilitate ongoing construction activities within the project limits.
Since the commencement of construction, the project has experienced sixteen rain days. Utility conflicts continue to impact the project schedule.
Over the next two weeks, work activities will include Phase 3 road reconstruction, storm sewer installation and boulevard grading. Pedestrian crossing installation will commence in Phase 2. Boulevard grading in Phase 2 will also be underway.
The following construction activities are still outstanding:
- Phase 3, east half minor storm sewer work and road reconstruction
- Phase 3 East half curb installation
- Top course asphalt for all Phases
- Pedestrian crossings, electrical and illumination upgrades
- Phase 3 landscaping
- Phase 1 Gateway feature "Lefroy" sign and plantings
