July 20 Update
The Town of Innisfil is providing biweekly updates to enhance communications on the Killarney Beach Road construction project. These updates will outline ongoing and upcoming activities throughout the 2026 construction season. Our goal is to help businesses plan ahead, recognizing that construction-related disruptions to operations are expected in 2026.
Project update provided on: July 20th, 2026
Project status
The Phase 2 road closure on Killarney Beach Road between Church Drive and Corner Avenue was installed June 4th, 2026.
In addition, intermittent daytime single-lane closures are in effect between 20th Sideroad and Church Drive to facilitate ongoing Phase 1 construction activities within the project limits. Separate daytime single-lane closures are also in place between Corner Ave and Ewart Street to accommodate the Stage 3 storm sewer installation.
Since the commencement of construction, the project has experienced nine rain days.
Over the next two weeks, work activities will include Phase 1 ditch works, boulevard grading and landscaping. Construction of the Phase 2 storm sewer, road reconstruction and multi-use path installation. Phase 3 Storm sewer installation will also be underway.

Driveway closures: No new updates
- As the project progresses this season, all reasonable effort will be made to maintain vehicle access to driveways. However, there will be some temporary interruptions to access during construction. Access will be restored as quickly as possible. Multiple temporary driveway restrictions and closures will occur at various times to facilitate construction activities, with durations ranging from short term (approximately 1 to 8 hours) to longer term (up to 48 hours). The contractor will have a full-time Public Relations Representative assigned to the project, who will provide 48-hour advance notice to property owners affected by driveway restrictions. The Public Relations Representative will be available throughout the 2026 construction season to coordinate access and respond to public inquiries.
Business Support:
- Business support is provided on an ongoing basis through the Economic Development Office through initiatives such as the DMZ Innisfil business support program, promotional efforts such as the "Taste of Innisfil" and "Shop Innisfil" campaigns, as well as through customized business support. For more information subscribe to the Town of Innisfil Economic Development newsletter or contact the Economic Development Office at business@innisfil.ca for more information.

This video is being shared broadly through the Town's social media channels, on the Get Involved Innisfil project page and with Town Council.
Signage:

- Additional Town Signage: Additional wayfinding signage has been provided by the Town to assist in communicating detours, parking availability, and that businesses along KBR remain open for business.
