April 1 Update

The Town of Innisfil is providing biweekly updates to enhance communications on the Killarney Beach Road construction project. These updates will outline ongoing and upcoming activities throughout the 2026 construction season. Our goal is to help businesses plan ahead, recognizing that construction-related disruptions to operations are expected in 2026.

Based on feedback received during our March 23 Community Meeting, we wanted to share a few quick updates:

Additional signage is being placed on Killarney Beach Road and 20th Sideroad to highlight that businesses are open during construction.
Further opportunities to promote local businesses throughout the construction season are being explored.
Detour route signage is currently under review.
Dust mitigation is being explored and more information will be provided.
On March 31, 2026, the road closure notice was posted on the project page and distributed to properties within the area.

As the project progresses this season, further clarification will be provided on potential driveway impacts and required closures. Our next biweekly update will focus on these topics specifically. The Town is also reviewing actions to address additional comments raised during the community meeting.

Project updates for April 13-27

Current Stage: Phase 1 - 20th Sideroad to Church Drive

Impacts to businesses:

Closure of Killarney Beach Road. Access for local traffic only from 20th Sideroad to Church Drive with detours in place.
Closure of eastbound lane – East of Morgan Russell arena entrance to 1295 Killarney Beach Road. Expect various driveway impacts within these limits. A minimum of 48 hours advanced notice will be provided for driveway impacts.
