Innisfil Beach Park: Construction Update

This transformation has been years in the making, and it's exciting to see work move forward on Phase 1 construction.

What's happening

Construction will begin in Zone 2 (Beaches 5 & 6) this week. Fencing will be installed around the work area, and work is expected to wrap up by the end of July, weather permitting.

The work zone is marked in blue on the below map. Beaches 1 to 4 will remain open during this period, as shown in yellow.

Here's what to look forward to from Zone 2 work:

  • Expanded beach area at Beach 5
  • New bicycle parking
  • Expanded trail for walking and cycling
  • Dune grasses and tree plantings
  • New park furniture
  • Improved beach access paths

Getting to the park

Please note that park access from Roberts Road will be restricted during construction. The park can still be accessed via Florence Road, and signage will be placed to help guide nearby residents to this alternative route.

Other updates

  • The new off-leash dog area with water access is now open at the most eastern point of the park, between Beach 2 and the boat launch.
  • Construction is underway on the new washroom near the existing playground and the new park exit that will intersect 25th Sideroad. While this new washroom is being constructed, please remember that other washroom facilities are located near parking lots B and F!
