The Town of Innisfil, alongside R.J. Burnside & Associates Ltd., has started a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) for the realignment of 20th Sideroad. This includes moving the intersection at 20th Sideroad and Innisfil Beach Road, as well as planning for new road and rail crossings.
This study will follow the “Schedule C” process under Ontario’s Environmental Assessment Act. As part of the study, we will review different options and work with the public, Indigenous Nations, and other government agencies to choose the best solution.
Alternatives will consider:
Potential impacts to daily travel routines
Existing natural features
Residential and commercial land use of the area
Resident concerns and interests
When the study is finished, the results will be shared in an Environmental Study Report for public review.
We want to hear from you!
Community input is an important part of this project. We want to make sure everyone who is interested has a chance to share their thoughts. The first step will be collecting feedback on local concerns and the alternatives being proposed.
Where to go for updates
This webpage will be updated with new information as the study moves forward. Public open houses will also be held later in the process to share updates and gather more feedback. Details about these open houses will be posted here, on social media, and in the local online newspaper.
Make sure to subscribe to this project to receive email updates about opportunities to have your say! If you have any questions, please contact the Project Contacts listed on this page.
